Autumn Splendor

Last week-end, (yes, I'm just now getting around to blogging about this), we took a drive to Prairie Du Chien, WI. We went to Wyalusing State Park. The day was sunny and glorious, though windy and cold. We bundled up so we could get out and explore a bit at the park.

It is truly a beautiful spot, high on the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River, but man!, that wind! We found a spot where the leaves had blown into a pile and we took a few minutes to frolic in them.

We walked to a couple overlooks,

then set up camp at the playground.

We had been at the playground about ten minutes when I noticed the western sky getting very dark. Within another ten minutes it was spitting snow! It wasn't hail or sleet, but it was little balls of snow.

It was weird. And the whole time the wind was blowing like crazy.

You take such great photos. What kind of camera do you use? We are thinking about getting a new camera for christmas so I'm curious how you like yours.
